What are the Drug Interactions of Capmatinib?

Concomitant use of the following drugs with capmatinib is not recommended. Your doctor may decide not to treat you with this drug or adjust other medications you are taking.

The specific drugs involved include:

Live vaccines: Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG, live), Tetravalent Dengue Attenuated Live Vaccine, Measles Attenuated Live Vaccine, Mumps Attenuated Live Vaccine, Rubella Attenuated Live Vaccine, Varicella Attenuated Live Vaccine, Yellow Fever Attenuated Live Vaccine

Other vaccines: Smallpox and Monkeypox Vaccine, Typhoid Vaccine

Non-vaccine drug: Foslinanert

Adverse Reactions of Capmatinib

Capmatinib may cause side effects. You should inform your doctor if you experience symptoms such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle, bone or back pain, loss of appetite, fatigue, dizziness, swelling of the hands, feet, ankles or lower legs, or skin rash, especially if these symptoms are severe or persistent.

Some side effects can be serious and require immediate medical attention. Contact your doctor or seek emergency medical care right away if you have shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough, fever or other signs of infection, or chest pain. In addition, you should also seek prompt medical treatment if you experience pain in the upper right abdomen, abdominal swelling, unusual bruising or bleeding, dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, nausea and vomiting, light-colored stools, or loss of appetite. Emergency treatment is also needed if you have persistent pain starting in the abdomen that may spread to the back, accompanied by nausea, vomiting or weight loss.

Please note that capmatinib may cause other side effects. During the course of taking this medicine, please contact your doctor promptly for consultation if you have any abnormal symptoms.

Precautions Before Taking Capmatinib

1. Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to capmatinib, any other medications, or any ingredients in capmatinib tablets. You may request a list of ingredients from your pharmacist.

4. Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had lung diseases or breathing problems (other than lung cancer), pancreatitis or liver diseases.
