Which drugs interact with Capmatinib?

The concurrent use of the following drugs with this medicine is generally not recommended, but it may be necessary in certain cases. If both drugs are prescribed together, your doctor may adjust the dosage or frequency of administration of one or both medications.

These drugs include: Abrocitinib, Attenuated Live Adenovirus Type 4 Vaccine, Attenuated Live Adenovirus Type 7 Vaccine, Afatinib, Aliskiren, Alosetron, Alpelisib, Apalutamide, Apixaban, Avacopan, Betrixaban, Bosentan, Carbamazepine, Cenobamate, Cholera Vaccine, Clarithromycin, Clomipramine, Clozapine, Colchicine, Conivaptan, Cyclosporine, Dabigatran Etexilate, Darolutamide, Digoxin, Dofetilide, Doxorubicin, Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Liposome, Duloxetine, Attenuated Live Zaire Ebola Vaccine, Edoxaban, Efavirenz, Elagolix, Ensartinib, Enzalutamide, Etravirine, Everolimus, Fedratinib, Fexinidazole, Fexofenadine and Fosphenytoin.

Daily Precautions for Capmatinib Administration

1. Consume foods that may help alleviate diarrhea (see the Diarrhea section in Side Effect Management).

2. Avoid sun exposure. Use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 (or higher) and wear protective clothing.

3. Alcohol consumption should generally be minimized or avoided entirely. You should discuss this matter with your doctor.

4. Get adequate rest.

5. Maintain good nutrition.

6. Stay active within your capabilities. Gentle exercises such as daily walking are recommended.

7. Be sure to discuss any symptoms or side effects with your medical team. They can prescribe medications and/or provide other recommendations for effectively managing these issues.

Possible Side Effects During Capmatinib Treatment

Report the following side effects to your medical team immediately once they occur:

1. Allergic reactions: Skin rash, pruritus, urticaria, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.

2. Dry cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

3. Liver damage: Pain in the upper right abdomen, loss of appetite, nausea, pale-colored stools, dark yellow or brown urine, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), unusual weakness or fatigue.

4. Pancreatitis: Severe abdominal pain that radiates to the back or worsens after eating or upon palpation, accompanied by fever, nausea and vomiting.
