Venetoclax(Venclexta)

Venetoclax is a prescription drug that targets the BCL-2 protein. It was approved for marketing in the United States in April 2016 and must be used strictly in accordance with medical advice.

Dosage and Administration

Route and frequency of administration for Venetoclax: Oral, once daily.

Adverse Reactions

Common adverse reactions: Diarrhea, nausea, upper respiratory tract infection, etc.

Use in Special Populations

Pregnancy: Your healthcare provider should perform a pregnancy test before you start treatment with Venetoclax, and you should use effective contraception during treatment and for 30 days after the last dose of Venetoclax. If you are pregnant or suspect you are pregnant, please inform your healthcare provider immediately.

Lactation: It is unknown whether Venetoclax enters breast milk. Do not breastfeed during treatment with Venetoclax and for 1 week after the last dose.

General Precautions

1. Instruct patients to store Venetoclax in its original packaging, including the dose-escalation packaging for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL). Strictly follow medical advice and take Venetoclax with food and water. Avoid consuming grapefruit products, limes, and star fruit during medication.

2. Patients must be instructed to swallow Venetoclax tablets whole; do not chew, crush, or split the tablets.

3. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember and resume the next regular dose. However, if more than 8 hours have passed since the missed dose, do not take the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. If vomiting occurs after taking a dose, take the next dose at the regular time; do not take an extra dose to compensate for the missed one.
