Dosage of Elagolix

Elagolix (Orilissa) is an oral medication taken daily, available in two dosage strengths, which can be selected based on treatment goals.

1. Elagolix 150 mg

Take one tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day. It may be taken with or without food.

2. Elagolix 200 mg

Take one 200 mg tablet twice daily (total daily dose 400 mg), preferably at the same times each day. It may be taken with or without food.

Your gynecologist will recommend the lowest effective dose based on your individual treatment needs. Pain relief and any potential side effects may vary depending on the dosage taken and individual body response.

Since elagolix acts throughout the menstrual cycle, it is essential to take it on time every day and strictly follow your gynecologist’s instructions—do not discontinue treatment on your own even if symptoms improve. Elagolix is not a medication to be taken on an as-needed basis.

Elagolix is hormone-free and does not provide contraceptive effects.
