Precautions for the use of medications in Thrombopenia

1. Avoid non-essential medications

Avoid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or aspirin-containing medications to prevent further reduction in platelet counts. Try to avoid invasive operations such as intramuscular injection, and local compression must be more than 5~10 minutes after the operation to reduce the risk of bleeding.

2. Consult a doctor before taking medication

Patients should consult their doctor and inform their thrombocytopenia condition before starting any new medication to ensure that the medication they choose is safe.

3. Indications for platelet transfusion

Platelet transfusion may be considered when platelets are less than 20×10^9/L or bleeding, but the specific indications may vary depending on the patient's condition and the physician's recommendation.

4. Dietary adjustment during medication

During the period of taking the medicine, the diet should be light and easy to digest, and avoid fried, whole grains and irritating foods. The intake of foods high in nutrients, protein, and vitamins can be moderately increased to promote platelet production.
