Dosage of Lusutrombopag

Start taking lusutrombopag 8-14 days before the planned surgery.

Patients should undergo surgery within 2-8 days after the last dose.

The recommended dose of lusutrombopag is 3 mg, taken orally once daily, with or without food, for 7 consecutive days. If a dose of lusutrombopag is missed, the patient should take the missed dose as soon as possible on the same day and resume the normal dosing schedule the next day.

In clinical trials involving patients with chronic liver disease, only the administration regimen of lusutrombopag as a single course of treatment, once daily for 7 consecutive days, was studied. Lusutrombopag should not be used in patients with chronic liver disease for the purpose of normalizing platelet counts.
